Emmet legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Emmet’s website, applications, project-record tools, and text messaging program.
Effective August 8, 2026Using Emmet
You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and use Emmet only for lawful business purposes. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide project records, communications, documents, personal information, and other content to Emmet.
Text Emmet program
By entering a mobile number and selecting “Text me a code,” you consent to receive account verification and project-assistant text messages from Emmet at that number. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
You can cancel at any time by replying STOP. After you send STOP, you may receive a confirmation and no further program messages unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help or contact jtabam@getemmet.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Availability may vary by carrier and location.
Project content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant Emmet the limited rights needed to host, process, index, transmit, and display that content to provide the service. Organization administrators control membership and project access. Do not upload content that is unlawful, malicious, infringing, or that you are not authorized to share.
Automated assistance
Emmet can generate summaries, answers, classifications, and drafts using automated systems. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed against cited source material before being relied on. Emmet does not replace professional legal, financial, engineering, architectural, medical, or other expert advice.
Acceptable use
You may not use Emmet to violate law; interfere with or reverse engineer the service; gain unauthorized access; distribute malware; send spam or unlawful communications; misrepresent identity or consent; or infringe the rights of others. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.
Service changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these terms. You may stop using Emmet at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions—will survive.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Emmet is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, Emmet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Governing terms
If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the services they cover, except for a separate written agreement that expressly controls.
