Emmet legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Emmet collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website, applications, and text messaging program.
Effective August 8, 2026Information we collect
We collect information you provide to create and manage an account, including your name, work email address, organization, project access, profile details, and mobile phone number. We also collect the project records, communications, documents, prompts, and other content you choose to provide to Emmet.
When you use Text Emmet, we collect your mobile number, consent and opt-out status, verification activity, inbound and outbound message content, and delivery metadata. We collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device, browser, authentication, request, diagnostic, and usage information.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure Emmet, verify accounts and phone numbers, route messages to the correct organization and project, produce requested responses and drafts, maintain cited project records, support users, prevent abuse, and meet legal and carrier requirements. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve the service.
How we disclose information
We disclose information to service providers that help us host, secure, analyze, and deliver Emmet, including communications providers that transmit email and text messages. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties except providers acting on our behalf to operate the messaging program or when required by law.
Text messaging choices
Text Emmet sends account verification and user-requested project-assistant messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not close your Emmet account, and you can continue using available web features.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain project records, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention may vary by record type and organization settings. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update available profile information in Emmet, change or unlink a mobile number, opt out of text messages, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Organization-managed project records may remain subject to the organization’s retention obligations and access controls.
Children and international use
Emmet is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. If you use Emmet from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Emmet or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
